The pond filter FiltraClear 2500 PlusSet from Ubbink is a filtration system with two chambers. The mechanical filtering (with filter mats and bio granules) takes place in the first chamber, and the biological filtration takes place in the second chamber. This consists of a fine filter sponge, bio granules, and a filter medium with a strain of bacteria which ensures that the water remains clear. The UVC unit makes sure that the algae growth is under control.
